Black communities are often marginalised in their access to energy as over 600 million Africans do not have access to energy. Good access to energy and clean power supply will translate to economic growth and empowerment of black people.
As the OYW Africa leadership team, we believe that for the world to be equal there has to be the liberation of black people everywhere. We need to come together and unite to birth a world free of racism and social injustices.
In the third edition of the One Young World Africa Black Unity Campaign, we will take a deep dive into the world of sustainability and energy access and the roles that young brilliant minds from Africa have to play to reposition the energy sector in Africa.
