One Young World is partnering with Extremely Together Philippines for their upcoming event entitled PANAGHIUSA: KABATAAN. KAPAYAPAAN. KINABUKASAN, a grand conference that will bring together representatives of the city-level conferences will help create a network of youth engaged in Preventing Violent Extremism(PVE) across cities.
About Extremely Together
Extremely Together are 10 Young Leaders, all active in preventing and countering violent extremism in their communities and beyond. Their task was to produce this guide, the world's first, by young people for young people, on how to counter violent extremism your community.
About this event
This event aims to engage youth leaders from around the Philippines, to capacitate and highlight how other advocacies connect and relate to peacebuilding efforts and encounter and prevent violent extremism with the theme, "Kabataan para sa kapayapaan at kinabukasan".
The Grand Conference hopes to inspire the youth to encourage them to start their activities and have a collaborative effort for peacebuilding.
What to expect
This event is relevant to the objective of the call for proposals to “explore PVE through the lens of the diversity offered by the countries in the region and go beyond focusing on one single form of extremism” because it seeks to implement and compare different approaches to youth-led PVE to respond to religious and political forms of violent extremism in urban contexts. This will explored through plenary and parallel sessions.
The event will be held online via Zoom on Saturday, November 27.
